Today’s Promise is John 10:9 NKJV:
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
Devotion:
Jesus is the only door to the Kingdom of God. Any other door leads to an entirely different kingdom. But notice this verse doesn’t say, “go in and stay?” Through Jesus, we have access to Heaven and all its resources, to then “go out and find pasture.” This word, pasture, is nome in the Greek. It refers not only to provision, but to growth and increase. In other words, everything we need to expand God’s Kingdom on earth can be found in Heaven through the Holy Spirit. And Jesus is the only way in. Are you using the door?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, teach me through Your Spirit to move freely in Your Kingdom. Open my eyes and ears, in Jesus’ name, that I might be trained up and equipped to discern and defeat the enemy with swiftness and take the land You have given me. Amen!
