Today’s Promise is Luke 10:18 NKJV:
“And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.'”
Devotion:
This simple statement Jesus made to His disciples is the truth from which every Christian should operate. It should be so deeply embedded in our hearts that it is our first reaction to attacks of the enemy. The only power Satan has is the power we give him, by acknowledging his influence in our lives. In truth, he is a fallen foe! Jesus has given us all authority over him and he knows this. His success relies on our ignorance or unbelief of this truth. Satan loves a victim.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, seal my heart with this knowledge, in Jesus’ name, and remind me daily to speak Your truth into my life and circumstances and stand in Your victory! Amen.
