Today’s Promise is 1 Corinthians 12:13 NKJV:
“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”
Devotion:
Have you ever considered the fact that whatever you do to or say about another believer, you are doing to or saying about yourself? And whatever you do to or say about yourself, you are doing to or saying about the Body of Christ? That puts a whole new light on Deuteronomy 30:19, doesn’t it?:
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”
God never intended us to be multiple denominations. We remain in the same Spirit, who works in us to united us all in the love of Christ. The true children of God act as the mortar, not the chisel.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You gave everything, that we might be one, even as You are One. Pour out Your Spirit, oh Lord, in Jesus’ name, and unite us in Your love, for a whole healthy body can achieve anything in You–and route any invader. Amen.
