Today’s Promise is Proverbs 7:2 NKJV:
“Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.”
Devotion:
Jesus didn’t die and rise again so we would no longer have to obey God’s commands. He died and rose again because He knew we couldn’t do it on our own. The blood of thousands of animals only covered our inability to keep God’s commands. The blood of one Man gave us the power to live them. Not to make them what we do, but who we are. Choose this day to step into the power of the Risen Christ.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You so much for giving me the power through Your Son and the Holy Spirit to live a life that pleases and glorifies You and blesses others. In Jesus’ name, let me never forget that You are the true power in my life and I’m no longer a slave to sin. Amen!
