Today’s promise is Psalm 50:23 NKJV:
“Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.”
Devotion:
Have you ever noticed how hard it is to think negative thoughts or do negative things when your heart is filled with praise? Praise is the key that unlocks the power of God in our lives, empowering the Holy Spirit, and drawing angels. The enemy hates it. He does not want you to be powerful. He does not want you to be transformed. He wants to keep you a miserable, bitter, victim so he can continue to wreak havoc in your life and rob you of your birthright. If you don’t feel like praising and worshiping God, you can be sure that that is exactly what you need to do to crush the enemy of your soul underfoot.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to keep my mind on all You have done and are doing for me, that my heart may be filled with praise to You and my words and actions will reflect Your glory–and that the enemy will flee in Jesus’ name. Amen!
