Today’s Promise is Proverbs 22:4 NKJV:
“By humility and the fear of the Lord
Are riches and honor and life.”
Devotion:
The rewards of humbling ourselves before the Lord, go much deeper than the physical. When our focus is on Jesus, we have all we need. We no longer have anything to prove to the world, for our identity is in Him. We no longer have to defend ourselves, for He is all powerful. We no longer have to earn our way, for He paid it all. And we no longer have to fear death, for in Him is life eternal. When we are bowed low before the throne of God, we are at our richest and strongest, and more alive than we will ever be.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, let me meditate each day on all You have done for me, are doing for me, and have promised to do for me, that I might live in an attitude of praise and humility toward You always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
