Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Deuteronomy 4:6 CJB:
“Therefore, observe them; and follow them; for then all peoples will see you as having wisdom and understanding. When they hear of all these laws, they will say, ‘This great nation is surely a wise and understanding people.’”
Devotion:
It’s not our obedience to God’s statutes that makes an impression on the unbelieving world, but the presence of God which results from our obedience. The Holy Spirit who fights our battles, gives grace to forgive, heals disease, raises the dead, and blesses the work of our hands. This is not only true for nations, but each individual, family, church, city, and state. But God warns us in verse 2 not to add to nor subtract from His Word. His law was not meant to be a burden. Nor was it meant to fit changing social mores. The world changes constantly, but God never does. Are you allowing the work of the Holy Spirit in you to make an impression on the world?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, write Your Word on my heart and engrave it in my mind. Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name, and let Your precepts be ingrained in me. For Your law was not given to enslave me, but to set me free to walk in Your power and love, that others might know You are the God of power and love. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
