Promise of the Day: The Dedicated Teacher

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Psalm 143:10 CJB:

“Teach me to do your will, because you are my God; Let your good Spirit guide me on ground that is level.”

Devotion:

For a long time I prayed this, but then went right on doing things my way. Even though my way was contrary to the Word of God. I was never taught that I could hear from the Lord in person, so I never thought to seek Him for the power that I lacked in myself.  But that is exactly why He sent the Holy Spirit. To sanctify and transform us day-by-day. When we truly desire to do His will, He is there to help us. Even when our intentions are good, our will is still our will, and it never glorifies God. God is glorified when we wait on Him, believing that we will hear from Him, and obeying Him when we do. Seek Him, trust Him, and He will lead you.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to wait on You and believe that even in the quiet, You are working in me. Help me to quiet my mind and train my ears, in Jesus’ name,  to hear Your voice, for You have promised to lead me in Your way. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
