Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Mark 12:33 CJB:
“And that loving him with all one’s heart, understanding and strength, and loving one’s neighbor as oneself, mean more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Devotion:
When the scribe answered Jesus with these words, Jesus said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.”
Not far from it, but not there either. It’s not enough to know God’s will. Even Satan knows God’s will. That’s why he does everything he can to derail us. Because he also knows that all the power and glory of the Kingdom of God are released in the doing. As the Holy Spirit reveals God’s will to us, so He will give us all we need to act on His will when we trust and obey. As one who has accepted God’s amazing gift of Salvation, I want to be immersed in the Kingdom of God, not standing on the outside in front of a sign that reads, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.” Where do you want to be?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I repent for any and all ways I have allowed the enemy to rob me of Your power and glory, in Jesus’ name, whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, envy, self-hatred, or any other negative emotion toward myself and others. This day, I purpose and choose to trade in my filthy rags for Your robe of righteousness. I know that faith is a gift You alone can give, and I know You will not withhold any good thing from Your child. So, I ask You now, Lord, to give me the faith to love as You love, and leave the details to You. Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
