Today’s Promise is Ephesians 3:14-17 NKJV:
“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”
Devotion:
This is the first part of one of Paul’s power prayers, which I claim for you (and myself) each day. It has only been through my daily seeking the Lord’s presence, and His daily nurturing that I have learned of the vast difference between what my mind knows and what my spirit knows. While my mind is bound by what I see, touch, and hear, etc., my spirit has access to the Throne of God and all His knowledge through Christ. While my mind’s concept of who I am is limited to my genetics and environment, my spirit knows my true identity in Christ and acts accordingly. It is my prayer that my mind come to the same knowledge as my spirit, that Christ may dwell in me fully. This is my prayer for you as well. Don’t settle for your own understanding. The Heavens are open above you. Press in for reality!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, open my spiritual eyes, ears, and senses to the reality of what Your Son did and who You created me to be. Make me shine with the fullness of Your power and glory and be glorified in me, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
