Promise of the Day: These Do

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Philippians 4:9 NKJV:

“The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”

Devotion:

I don’t know about you, but I want God with me. Always. So, what was Paul teaching and doing? Rejoice in all things, and don’t worry about anything. Let everyone see that you are reasonable and gentle, and let only things that are virtuous and praiseworthy occupy your mind. Easy, right? The fact is, in the world in which we live, strife and anxiety dominate the media, virtue has become a source of scorn and mockery, and all forms of evil are praised. In other words, we can never enjoy the presence of God in our lives if our focus remains on the world. James 4:4 tells us if we are friends with the world, we are enemies of God. Let us walk away from the madness of the world, and embrace God’s truth, that we may enjoy His peace that passes all understanding. Always.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, open my eyes to Your truth, in Jesus’ name. Help me discern the lies of the enemy at work in the world and reject it completely, that I might praise You in all things and be worried for nothing. And that I might enjoy Your presence every moment of every day. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
