Today’s Promise is 1 Corinthians 15:49 CJB:
“and just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, so also we will bear the image of the man from heaven.”
Devotion:
This isn’t just a promise for our future in Heaven. Paul said we are being transformed from glory to glory, now. As we submit to the Holy Spirit’s work in us, letting go of the old and embracing His power and life, we are able to carry more of His glory, reflecting the Light of Heaven, illuminating this dark world, all to the testimony and glory of God. Arise and shine, today!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to bear the image of the Heavenly! I submit to You, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Let Your Spirit convict me swiftly when I stray in word or deed, and grant me the grace to repent just as swiftly. Cleanse me of all unrighteousness, that I may glorify You on earth as You are in Heaven. Amen.
