Today’s Promise of Proverbs 1:7 NKJV:
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Devotion:
A person could go to school for years, earn many degrees, and read every book available–and still know nothing at all. Until we realize the sovereignty of Almighty God, and give Him the reverence He so richly deserves, all the knowledge in the world is meaningless. It is God who brings meaning to what seems random, who makes perfect sense of what seems like chaos, who enlightens the deepest mysteries. God has all the answers. And He’s the only one who does. He wants to share them with you.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are the source of all knowledge and wisdom. I ask You, Lord, in the name of Your Son, to open my heart and mind to all You have for me, that I may know You and serve You to my utmost. Teach me Your ways, Lord Amen.
