Today’s Promise is Romans 3:3, 4 NKJV:
“For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”
Devotion:
The truth is not reliant on anyone’s belief. I could say, “Gravity does not exist,” and truly believe it. But, if I jump off a cliff, my belief will not keep me from dropping to my death. Truth is truth and does not shift and sway with popular opinion. It is as constant as God Himself, because God is truth. Only knowing God’s truth can keep us from running off the cliff with the rest of the stampeding herd. And, only by knowing God, can we know His truth.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit who leads us to all truth. Help me to seek You daily, in Jesus’ name, that I might not be fooled by the lies of the enemy. Amen.
