Today’s promise is 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 NKJV:
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
I enjoy watching TV shows about people who flip houses. These people can look at a house that most would think just needs to be torn down, and see it as it could be. They pay good money for a dump of a house and then go to work. Before the program is over, they’ve transformed a wreck into a thing of beauty, and suddenly all kinds of people want it, and the flippers reap a tidy profit.
God is in the people flipping business. When even I saw no value in myself, He saw me as He created me to be. He paid the ultimate price for me, and then went to work, conforming me into His image. When we yield to this process, we can no longer say, “My body, my choice,” because He paid the ultimate price for us, and we belong to Him. The beauty He creates from the inside draws others to Him, and the profit He reaps are the souls He welcomes into His Kingdom as a result of our obedience and faith. To God be the glory!
Heavenly Father, You wanted me when no one else did. You loved me from the beginning of time. What can I say to that, except I surrender to You. Make me into something beautiful, Lord. And help me, in Jesus’ name, help others see themselves as You see them. Beautiful! Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
