Today’s Promise is Psalm 86:7 NKJV:
“In the day of my trouble I will call upon You,
For You will answer me.”
Devotion:
When we need help, we call on the people we know. People we have a relationship with and have established trust with. This is how David was with God. His intimacy with the Lord gave David confidence that He not only had the capability but the heart to help him when he called. God wants us to know Him with that level of confidence. Not merely as a name we call on when things get tough, but as a child knows their Father. Are you getting to know your Father?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being my loving Father and wanting to have a relationship with me. Thank You that showing me Your goodness is the desire of Your heart and not just something You have to do. Help me to know You even better than David did, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
