Blessings!
Today’s Promise is John 13:14-17 NKJV:
“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”
Devotion:
The gift of salvation was not meant to make us better than anyone else. If anything, it should be a constant reminder of how blessed we are to not receive the punishment we so richly deserve. This knowledge is very humbling, and should be foremost in our minds when we deal with others. This is the heart of a thankful servant. This is the heart of Christ.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, let me meditate on Your great gift to me day and night. Let gratitude take root deep in my heart, in Jesus’ name, and grow stronger each day, that all I say and do becomes an expression of that gratitude. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
