Today’s Promise is Psalm 25:10 CJB:
“All Adonai’s paths are grace and truth
to those who keep his covenant and instructions.”
Devotions:
The world demonizes God’s Torah (Law), and many who call themselves Christians insist that the Commandments were done away with by Jesus. From a worldly viewpoint, rules are a cruel and restrictive form of slavery. But nothing could be further from the truth. It is sin that is cruel and restrictive, keeping us from the presence and blessings of the One who created us. God created this world and all the laws that govern it, from physics, to mathematics, to morality. And He did it for us. That we might know Him and live the lives He has given us to the absolute fullest. Not in regret and bitterness, but in grace and truth. He is a loving Father, and His covenant and instructions are who He is, as He demonstrated in His Son. They are not given to us to bind and restrict us, but to set us free! What a loving Father. And, what a precious gift.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You humble me to my knees. To think that You could love me so much. Let Your praises be ever on my lips for the great gift You have given me. You are good. And Your mercy endures forever. Amen.
