Today’s Promise is Jeremiah 33:8 NKJV:
“I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.”
Devotion:
What a wonderful promise. There are times when we may be tempted to think our sins are beyond God’s grace, that we’ve gone too far for even God to forgive us. Satan certainly has a host of willing subjects to remind us of our past transgressions, but the spirits of guilt and shame are not of the Lord. Though the Holy Spirit will certainly convict us when we go astray, once we have repented in Godly sorrow and turn from our sin, that is the end of the matter. This one thing you can be sure of. When God says all, He means all.
Is there something in your past you’ve repented of but haven’t truly let go of?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I have sinned against You grievously, and don’t deserve Your grace. Yet, Your love for me endures forever. Please, forgive me, Lord, in Jesus’ name, and send Your Spirit to sanctify me and keep me from sin. And having been cleansed of my past sins, help me remember, when the enemy comes to remind me of them, that You have cast them into the deepest sea and they cannot be retrieved. Thank You for loving me so much. Amen.
