Promise of the Day: King of the Curse

Labor of the Soul

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Galatians 3:13 NKJV:

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.’)”

The Gift of Righteousness

Devotion:

It isn’t just the Cross that testifies to this promise. When the soldiers placed a crown on Jesus’ head, He became a king, taking on all the weight and responsibility of His Kingdom. But the crown wasn’t jewel encrusted gold, signifying power and riches. It was thorns. The very symbol of the curse of the fallen world. Jesus became the King of the Curse, taking all authority and responsibility over it for us. Then what did He do? He took the curse to the grave! And let me assure you, the curse did NOT rise from the dead with Jesus. He dropped it off in Hell, where it belongs. Don’t go after it. Our Savior has taken His rightful place at the right hand of God and is wearing a crown of purest gold. And He has secured a crown of gold for you, as well as a seat in the Throne Room. Let the curse lay buried. Set your heart on things above.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You! And thank You, Jesus, for becoming the curse for me. I didn’t stand a chance without Your intervention. But Your great love has redeemed me. Let me live a life of obedience, in  Jesus’ name, borne out of gratitude and love for all You have done for me. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
