Today’s Promise is James 1:17 NKJV:
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
Devotion:
The God of all creation has made up His mind to pour out the gifts of the Spirit on His children, filling us with His light, life, and power. And, unlike the planets–and the people He created, He does not have a light side and a dark side. God is all light. God is all good, as are the gifts He pours out on us. We needn’t be fearful of receiving the gifts of the Spirit. If we remain in the Light, we will not only become receivers of His gifts that perfect us, but givers of the Light as well.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to be a conduit for Your Light, Life, and Power to the world. Forgive my sins, Lord, and cleanse me of all iniquity. Transform me into a beacon of Your light, in Jesus’ name, drawing others to You and expanding Your Kingdom. Be glorified in me, Lord. Amen.
