Today’s Promise is Proverbs 29:23 NKJV:
“A man’s pride will bring him low,
But the humble in spirit will retain honor.”
Devotion:
The world thinks a great deal of pride, but pride has no place in God’s Kingdom–and we are no longer of the world. Though not always easy, it is far more pleasant to voluntarily bow low before God–and man, and let God lift us up than to lift ourselves up–and have Him bring us low. You can take my word for that.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to keep Your cross ever before me, in Jesus’ name, reminding me that everything good in me comes from You alone. Amen.
