Today’s Promise is 2 Corinthians 13:11 NKJV:
“Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
Devotion:
Notice Paul says “become complete.” This is not an instantaneous change upon receiving Jesus as our Savior. Receiving Him allows the process to begin. The process of learning to submit to Him as the Holy Spirit leads us. As we do, the Lord can strip away the old and make us new, a difficult and sometimes painful process. In this we can take comfort, for in this we walk together, supporting and lifting one another up. In this we share one mind and can live together in peace, knowing that we are all on the same journey.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for providing me with all I need to become complete. Help me to surrender to You moment by moment, in Jesus’ name. Help me to trust in You alone, and not what I see or feel. Amen.
