Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Isaiah 9:6:
“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Devotion:
And so He is! He is the hope and future of the disenfranchised, He is the wisdom and guidance of the lost, He is the strength of the powerless, He is the Father who will never leave His child, He is the peace of the harassed and anxious. He is the greatest gift of all. And He is ours for the asking.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You. Your love for me shattered all bounds when You sent Your only Son to take my punishment, that I might be free to live in Your joy, wisdom, strength, Sonship, and peace. Help me to let go of all and cling only to You, to receive Your gift in all His fullness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
