Blessings!
Today’s Promise is 2 Peter 1:10 CJB:
“Therefore, brothers, try even harder to make your being called and chosen a certainty. For if you keep doing this, you will never stumble.”
Devotion:
Wait a minute! Is Peter saying my Salvation isn’t certain? But I said the prayer!
Many preach a “Once Saved, Always Saved” doctrine because it appeals to masses. Those looking for a quick fix, who see no need to change. But this isn’t the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are not called and chosen to reflect the attitudes of the world, but to reflect the Son of God in all His holiness. In all Jesus did on earth and continues to do, He does in full submission to His Father. This is what we are called to, as well. Day by day, moment by moment. For this purpose, we have been given the Holy Spirit to guide us, correct us, and comfort us as He grows us in our most holy faith. Making our Salvation a certainty.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your precious Son, showing me the way to Your heart. Thank You for calling and choosing me. And thank You for giving me Your Spirit to help me fulfill my calling. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
Rebecca
