Today’s Promise is Hebrews 13:8 NKJV:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Devotion:
In the light of this truth, it’s easy to see the apostasy of worldly churches. Churches who claim that God accepts homosexuality, abortion, and any other worldly behaviors are not churches of God at all. For God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one. If Jesus doesn’t change, neither does God or His spirit. If this were not true, what could we put our faith in? It is this very truth that we stand on, that God alone is constant. His love is constant. His holiness is constant. His constancy is our peace, which is exactly what Jesus came to give us. The enemy works even in the church to steal, kill, and destroy by twisting God’s Word, just like he did in the Garden of Eden. But if we hold fast to God’s Truth, we can abide in God’s perfect peace.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, write Your Truth in my heart and in my head, in Jesus’ name, that I may not be drawn away by the seductive lies of the enemy. I praise You and worship You, Lord, for sending Your Son to give me perfect peace. Amen.
