Today’s Promise is Isaiah 46:11 NIV:
“From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.”
Devotion:
It doesn’t get much clearer than that, does it? Our God is the Sovereign God. Everything and everyone are in His hands and at His command. When you are tempted to buy into anything that contradicts the Word of God by the lies of the enemy, the spirit of deception, the spirit of fear . . . just stop. Turn back to the promises of God in His Word, back to the peace of His presence. And know that, no matter what man may say or do, our Father has the last Word.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I just can’t express the joy I have in the knowledge of Your sovereignty. To know that I am in the hands of such a loving Father, who will fulfill all His promises to me, whether they be written in Your Word, or expressed through Your Spirit. I glorify You, oh Lord, for the steadfastness of Your arms around me. I know that You will never fail me, Father. And for that, You have my undying love. Amen.
