Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Hebrews 11:6 NKJV:
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Devotion:
How can you believe in someone you don’t know? God is not some figment of someone’s imagination, nor is He some deity watching you from afar and waiting to condemn you. God is a person with a heart–a huge heart–and a longing for intimacy. He became flesh and blood to be close to you. These words “diligently seek” come from root words that carry the idea of craving, even demanding something. God’s craving for you is what led Jesus to Calvary. That fact alone should drive us to crave Him all the more. When we do, we will share in the rewards of His presence and glory.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, pour out Your Spirit on me, in Jesus’ name, that I might have the same intense craving for You that You have for me, and even more. Help me pour out my life for You, just as Your Son did for me. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
