Today’s Promise is 1 John 2:25 NKJV:
“And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.”
Devotion:
While eternal life sounds like the ultimate reward, living forever without the company of the Creator would be a sad existence indeed. It is His love and goodness that makes any life worth living, whether here and now or in the hereafter. If you’ve ever felt His presence, you know what I’m talking about. I pray that you do. Our God is life. Real life. And, for those who find Him and remain in Him, to live enwrapped in His glory for all eternity is the greatest promise of all. It’s what we live for!,
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are my life, and apart from You there is no life. Let eternity begin now, in Jesus’ name, walking in Your glory cloud, enjoying the overwhelming peace, joy, and love that You are. And let Your glory flow from me into those around me, letting them taste and see that You are good, and Your promise is for them. Amen.
