Today’s Promise is Psalm 25:12 NIV:
“Who, then, are those who fear the LORD? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.”
Devotion:
We don’t like the word “fear.” Especially, when we talk of God, who is supposed to be loving and good. But the fact that God is good and loving by no means disqualifies Him from the honor and respect due the all-powerful God. The deep awe and respect of God, submitting to Him in all humility, is the beginning of wisdom and understanding. God has granted us access to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. When we truly honor God as He deserves to be honored, bowing low before the throne of the sovereign King, we need go no further than Him for direction for our lives. For out of His goodness and love, He will grant us His favor.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me for a purpose, for sending Your Son to make that purpose known, and Your Spirit to guide me along the way! To You be the glory, honor, and praise forever! Amen!
