Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Isaiah 43:25 CJB:
“I, yes I, am the one who blots out
your offenses for my own sake;
I will not remember your sins.”
Devotion:
I don’t know how many times I’ve heard professed Christians say, “I forgive, but I don’t forget!” In fact, I used to buy into that self-righteous attitude myself. But the fact is, when we come to God through the blood of Jesus Christ, He willingly hits the delete key of His memory, and we are new. We get a fresh start. Now, if the Creator of all things does this for me, who am I to deny my brothers and sisters that same grace?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, what an incredible gift you have given me. I repent of coming into agreement with the spirit of pride that makes me believe I am so much more important than You, that I can hang on to past offenses. Let me be more like You, Lord, in Jesus’ name, seeing my brothers and sisters, not as they appear, but in the light of who You are. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
