Today’s Promise is John 14:2, 3 :NKJV
“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
Devotion:
The splendors that await us in Heaven make our lives and homes here pale in comparison. Being in the presence of Jesus is reason enough to leave everything behind, yet so many believers still cling to what they have on earth. Don’t let fear of losing what you have now rob you of your glorious legacy. You will never regret forsaking all else for the joy of knowing your Lord and Savior. He is the ultimate treasure!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for preparing a place for me in Heaven. For wanting to be with me. I know I can’t belong to the world and belong to Your Kingdom. I must choose. So, today I choose You. I rebuke the spirit of fear that keeps me bound to the temporary things of this world, and robs me of a deeper knowledge of You. Show me Your glory, Lord, in Jesus’ name, as I set my eyes on You. That all else may fade away, and You are all I desire. Amen.
