Blessings!
Today’s promise is Isaiah 54:17:
“‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
And their righteousness is from Me,’
Says the Lord.”
Devotion:
Sometimes it takes every ounce of strength we have to stand on this promise. When the enemy is throwing everything he’s got at you, remember this: his only purpose is to get and keep your focus on the physical–that which is only temporary.
But our enemy doesn’t war in the physical realm, and he can’t be defeated in the physical realm. If he can make you forget, even for a moment, your identity in Christ and the power and authority that comes with it through Jesus Christ, he’s got the upper hand. Don’t give it to him. Get alone with your Power Source, your Father. Don’t wait until you are tired, discouraged, and shell-shocked. Claim this promise in power, with praise and rejoicing. Lose yourself in worship and let Him immerse you in His Spirit. In Him you will find comfort, peace, and joy–everything you need to weather any attack. Rest in your faithful and all-powerful Father and let Him remind your enemy that he’s already defeated.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for covering me with the righteousness of Your Son, and filling me with the power of Your Spirit. Help me keep my eyes on You and remember that You are greater than any enemy I may face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
