Today’s Promise is Proverbs 3:5, 6 CJB:
“Trust in Adonai with all your heart;
do not rely on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him;
then he will level your paths.”
Devotion:
This one verse is the definition of faith. When the world around you is screaming, “Fear for your life!” God says, “Because he loves me, I will rescue him; because he knows my name, I will protect him” Psalm 91:14. The world says, “Accept every behavior, whether it is Godly or not.” God says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” Romans 12:2.
It is one thing to know what God’s Word says; it is another matter entirely to trust His Word to the point of action. Especially when it means facing the ridicule and even the wrath of a world that does not tolerate those who don’t conform to its rationale. Yet, we have this great promise from our Father, that when we do forsake the world and act on His promises in faith, He will level every mountain in our path. That is because when we come into agreement with God’s decrees, we bring His glory realm to earth to make the impossible very possible indeed. Who do you choose to believe today?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, it is time for me to arise, speak, and act according you Your Word. Invade me with Your Power and Glory, Lord, in Jesus’ name, the power and glory of Your Risen Lamb, that I might bring Your Glory to earth as a witness to our precious Savior. Grant me Your courage and strength as You did Your first Disciples and use me to Your Glory. Amen, and Amen!
