Promise of the Day: Know ME

Know God

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Jeremiah 31:34 NKJV:

“No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Know God

Devotion:

Jesus was the fulfillment of this promise. Before He came and opened the doors of Heaven, even the Holy of Holies, people depended on other people to tell them who God is and what He expects from us. Jesus changed all that. When we receive His forgiveness and remain in Him, we have full access to the throne of God, to worship Him and receive instruction and revelation. But if you look closely, you’ll see that this is not just a promise, but a command. “They shall know Me.” Jesus said, “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required” Luke 12:48. We have been given life itself, and it is our responsibility alone to get to know God. It’s not our pastors’ job to tell us who God is, and what He says, but to encourage us to a pursue a personal relationship with Him. This requires that we get up from our pews and start climbing.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your Son, that I might know You. Fill me with Your Spirit, Lord, in Jesus’ name, and lead me by Your Truth. Let me guard my relationship with You jealously, that no man come between us as I worship You in Spirit and in Truth. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
