Today’s Promise is 1 John 5:14-15 CJB:
“This is the confidence we have in his presence: if we ask anything that accords with his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us — whatever we ask — then we know that we have what we have asked from him.”
Devotion:
At the risk of repeating myself, for this is my mission in life, how do we know God’s will? I hope you are answering, “By listening to Him.” I know we live in a crazy busy world. But the heart of the Father, and therefore my heart is that you would know how He longs to spend time alone with you, “showing you great and mighty things which you do not know” (Jer. 33:3). The greatest reward in a relationship with God is not in what He will do for us, but in knowing Him up close and personal. But you don’t have to take my word for it. The Father is waiting to show you Himself.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please help me to tune out the noise of the world, in Jesus’ name, and tune into You. I want to know You more. I want to know Your will and walk in unity with You. I want to glorify You, Lord. Be glorified in me. Amen.
