Today’s Promise is 1 Corinthians 2:15, 16 CJB:
“But the person who has the Spirit can evaluate everything, while no one is in a position to evaluate him.
For who has known the mind of Adonai?
Who will counsel him?
But we have the mind of the Messiah!”
Devotion:
Jesus wants to give us His mind. This is why it is vital for us to surrender completely to the Holy Spirit in the process of sanctification. Not only that we should not be deceived, but that we not deceive others. If anyone has the mind of Christ they will discern right from wrong and speak the truth boldly in love. Not to gain attention and glory for themselves, but to the glory of Jesus Christ. Not to increase their own kingdom on earth, but to bless and increase the Kingdom of God. Always edifying, always building up.
And when the world asks, “Have you lost your mind?”
We can say with confidence, “Why, yes. As a matter of fact I have.”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to lose my mind to You. Help me lay down my life every moment of every day, in Jesus’ name, that I may be transformed from glory to glory. Fill me with Your Spirit, that I may discern and rightly judge all things, speaking and acting in boldness and love. Just like Your Son. Amen.
