Today’s Promise is Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV:
“‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”
Devotion:
Did you catch that? Nothing. Nothing is too hard for our God. Not even forgiveness. We as people often struggle with forgiving one another, sometimes out of an instinct of self-preservation or fear of getting hurt again. Sometimes out of pride. But our Heavenly Father’s heart does not harden because it is hurting. And He is not so proud that He wouldn’t offer His perfect Son as our sacrifice for sin. He is all loving–all the time. So great is His love for you, that, aside from blaspheming the Holy Spirit, nothing you could possibly do to Him will make Him stop loving you! You can never sink so low that your Father will not be instantly at your side when you call on Him. This is the love that brings you to your knees.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Your love and Your love alone has sustained me, healed me, redeemed and restored me. Thank You, Father, for loving me with a love that never ends, that never fails. Even when I fail You. Let Your love be the standard that I strive for and the filter through which I see Your creation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
