Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Malachi 3:10 NKJV:
“‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.'”
Devotion:
I am overwhelmed by the things that must get done today. How can I afford to give the first fruits of my day to the Lord? I have so many bills to pay. How can I afford to give the Lord the first fruits of my increase? I don’t even have any “increase!” Did you know that this stress and fear come from an evil spirit called mammon? God did not give us a spirit of fear; it comes from the enemy. And the only way to defeat this spirit is to repent of it, renounce it in Jesus’ name, and then DO exactly what you are afraid to do! This is faith, and when I read the above verse, I think, how can I afford NOT to?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for delivering me from a spirit of mammon and fear! I believe that everything I have, You have given me. Give me a grateful heart, in Jesus’ name, that I may receive as much joy from giving to You as You receive when You give to me. Amen.
