Today’s Promise is 2 Chronicles 20:17 NKJV:
“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!”
Devotion:
Regardless of whether we are born of Abraham, or grafted in to the bloodline, we are the children of the Living God. Judah refers to those who offer praise and thanks to God, and also to those who strive for His presence. Jerusalem refers to those in covenant relationship of peace with God, and who teach the way of peace. These are all ways we “position ourselves.” Our God takes care of His own. Those who make seeking, worshiping, and obeying Him a way of life. What a blessing to know that when our eyes remain on God, He will fight our battles for us!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for taking care of me. Help me to keep my focus on worshiping You, in Jesus’ name, and let You fight my battles for me. Amen!
