Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Exodus 1:12 NKJV:
“But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.”
Devotion:
Referring here to the Egyptians, this has been a promise that has stood the test of time from the founding of the nation of Israel. The greater we are persecuted, the more we multiply and thrive! The exciting thing is that the death and resurrection of Christ made this promise available to all who believe, Jew and Gentile alike. This was witnessed by the great persecution of the First Century Ekklesia (Church). The Roman persecution of early believers made it spread like wildfire throughout the land, making believers bolder in their faith than ever. Our faith is like a muscle, the more it is broken down, the stronger it grows. In the light of God’s promise to bless His children, persecution and affliction are no longer something to dread and fear, but rather opportunities to grow in His faith and power, as we watch Him move on our behalf!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we did not choose You. You have chosen us, and have given us your promises as a sign to the world that You are the One True God. Thank You for Your promises. Thank You that whatever my circumstances, I can know without a doubt that You will bless and multiply me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
