Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Deuteronomy 29:29 NKJV:
“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
Devotion:
As a child, my youngest daughter always had difficulty keeping secrets during Christmas or birthdays. She got so excited about the gifts she got for people, she just couldn’t wait until they open them. She still loves to see people surprised and happy. And she loves even more when she sees people using and enjoying the gifts she’s given them. God wants to share His secrets with us, and each one is like a gift of knowledge, a tool we need to grow our faith in Him through obedience. The more we use each gift, and the more skilled we become in its use, the more He will reveal to us. Using the gifts God gives us shows not only our appreciation for them, but our faithfulness to God. The best secret of all is Salvation through faith in Christ, but it doesn’t stop there. Take your faith out of the bottom drawer, shake it out, and put it to use. There is so much more God wants to reveal.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to know Your secrets, because they reveal more of Your glory to me and draw me closer to Your heart. Help me to be faithful with whatever You reveal to me, in Jesus’ name, that I may have more of You. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
