Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Romans 6:6 NKJV:
“Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.”
Devotion:
When the Nazi concentration camps were liberated, prisoners lingered behind the gates. They had been there so long, they were unable to grasp the concept of freedom. Likewise, people who repent and invite Jesus into their hearts, then continue to live as they did before. Choosing the familiar over a new life. Freedom, like all acts of faith, must be acted on. Are you lingering in your prison? Addiction? Unforgiveness? Bitterness? Generational sin? Repent and renounce your captors! The gates stand open. Your chains are loosed. RUN in the strength of the Living God!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please help me to live in the reality of Your truth, in Jesus’ name. You have ransomed me, and I am free to live a life of obedience to You. Let my life be a testimony to Your love and grace as I walk in Your truth. Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
