Promise of the Day: Speak Boldly

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Exodus 4:12 NKJV:

“Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”

Devotion:

I love Moses. I, like many others I’m sure, can relate to his insecurity when it comes to public speaking. Many use this as an excuse, saying “I’m just not called to teach, preach, or even testify publicly,” or, “That isn’t my spiritual gift.” But guess what? Everyone who has been saved by faith in Christ Jesus has not only been called but commanded to go into all the world preaching the gospel,  (Mark 16:15).

But, praise God, He never calls us to do what He will not equip us to accomplish! Just as on the day of Pentecost, when we are obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit, He will not only empower us to speak, but He will give us the words to say, whether in our language or another. It is an amazing thing to experience the Holy Spirit transforming your fearful trembling into the quaking power of His glory! And this is exactly what happens when we surrender to the Lord, and go.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit! Help me to press in to You with all my heart, in Jesus’ name, that I might speak Your truth in all boldness like so many servants before me. Prepare me, Lord, to carry Your glory on earth, that others may see Your awesome works and believe! Amen!

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
