Blessings!
Today’s Promise is 1 Thessalonians 5:9 NKJV:
“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Devotion:
Paul encourages us here to stay sober and vigilant as we await the return of our Savior. It’s not a question of “if” Jesus will come back for us, but “when.” I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait. When He does return, I want Him to find me busy doing what He called me to do. I want to be wide awake, and ready to go. Why? Because, just as Paul says, Jesus is not coming back with a fist full of wrath for me. He’s coming with my reward. What about you? What reward is the Lord bringing for you?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Precious Son. Thank You for giving me a reason to hope, a reason to praise–a reason to live. Help me glorify you with all that I am and all that I have, in Jesus’ name, for it is all from You. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
