Today’s Promise is 1 John 1:5 CJB:
“And this is the message which we have heard from him and proclaim to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him — none!”
Devotion:
Darkness is the absence of light, and metaphorically, the absence of knowledge. Darkness brings doubt, fear, and confusion. But even the smallest of lights casts out darkness, and Jesus is the Light of the World. When you are plagued by doubt, fear, and confusion, go to the Light, Jesus Christ. Darkness flees in His presence, and He will never leave you in the dark.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to walk in the light of Your Son. When darkness threatens, lead me into Your Light, in Jesus’ name, and help me to remain there, that I may see clearly and never fear the darkness. Amen.
