Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Acts 2:38 NKJV:
“Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”
Devotion:
Don’t let anyone tell you that the Holy Spirit anointing is a thing of the past. It was that “power from on high,” as Jesus called it, that turned a sniveling coward named Peter into a bold and powerful preacher and healer. The God we serve is Spirit, and the work He has called us to is supernatural, beyond human strength or intelligence. We now live under an open heaven, meaning we have unlimited access to that power from on high! How do we access it? First, by believing, then by asking. On our own we can do nothing, but with God all things are possible! (Mark 10:27)
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for not leaving me alone. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to lead, strengthen, and empower me, in Jesus’ name. I want to be everything You created me to be, Lord. But I can’t do it without You. I repent of any doubt or fear that has kept me from receiving more of You. Please pour out Your Spirit on me, Lord, enlarging my heart to hold more and more of You. That I might have the courage and power to do what You ask me to do. Take all of me, Lord. Be glorified in me. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
