Promise of the Day: Take Your Medicine

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Acts 3:19 NKJV:

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

Devotion:

Children of God should be the most joyful, peaceful people on the earth. Yet, you’d never know it to look at some of them. That’s because so many see sanctification as a one shot deal instead of a process. When this happens, we can end up like someone with a disease who takes one pill, feels better, then decides he is healed and no longer needs his medicine. The disease remains and progresses in the absence of medication, and the person wonders why he doesn’t feel good anymore. The Holy Spirit is our physician, and repentance is our medicine, because that is what cleanses us of the iniquity that keeps us from the presence of the Lord. And where the presence of the Lord is, there is refreshing.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I need Your refreshing. Please forgive me for not actively seeking Your sanctification. Examine my heart, Lord, and show me what I need to repent and let go of, that I may continually walk in Your refreshing presence. Please don’t let me allow anything to come between us, in Jesus name. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!

Rebecca
