Promise of the Day: The Accuser

Underminers

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Romans 8:33-34 CJB:

“So who will bring a charge against God’s chosen people? Certainly not God — he is the one who causes them to be considered righteous! Who punishes them? Certainly not the Messiah Yeshua, who died and — more than that — has been raised, is at the right hand of God and is actually pleading on our behalf!

Devotion:

The next time you are feeling like you are just not enough, remember this, even when we struggle, it is not God who is pointing the finger of judgement at us. It is the accuser, our adversary. Satan would love nothing more than to have you think God is disappointed with you, that you are falling short. He has many avenues to this end, whether it be the people around us or our own minds. But, when we put on Christ, it is His righteousness our Father sees. He sees us as His perfected sons and daughters, even though we do not yet walk in glorified bodies. So, the next time the enemy whispers in your ear, “You’re a failure,” just remind him that it is his head beneath Jesus’ heel, not yours!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You didn’t wait for me to be perfect before You redeemed me. You chose me ahead of time and made the way for me, covering me in the righteousness of Your Precious Son. Please, forgive me, in Jesus’ name, when I’m tempted to listen to the accuser, and help me remember how You see me, Your perfect child. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
