Today’s Promise is Isaiah 35:10 NKJV:
“They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
Devotion:
This verse speaks of the return of the saints with Jesus after the great and fearful Day of the Lord, it is also a promise for the here and now. For those who make God their habitation and dwell constantly in His Spirit there is indeed joy, gladness, and singing. And sorrow and sighing cannot come from a mouth filled with praise. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough sorrow and sighing. I choose to sing!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You dwell in the praise of Your people, and I want You to dwell in me. Make my life an everlasting offering of praise, in Jesus’ name, that I may be filled with Your joy and gladness, and let that joy be contagious! Amen!
